Dr. Franklin Erepamo Osaisai
Dr. Franklin Erepamo Osaisai, a Nuclear Engineering Scientist by professional training was until recently the Chairman/CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC).... Dr. Osaisai is a professional career academic and had taught and researched at both the University of California at Berkeley, California and the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His teaching interests include courses in Numerical Methods & Programming, Nuclear Instrumentation, Computational Transport Phenomena, Reactor Engineering and Energy Systems. Until his appointment in May 2006 as the pioneer Director-General of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission by Mr. President, Dr. Osaisai was the Director of the Nuclear Technology Centre at the Sheda Science and Technology Complex, Abuja. He had also previously served as a Commissioner of Works and Transport in Bayelsa State of Nigeria. He has acquired over the years, significant public service experience in policy formulation, project planning and management. Dr. Osaisai served from 2006 to 2008 as Nigeria’s representative on the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. His scholarly publications and research interests are in the fields of Nuclear Science & Engineering, Numerical Modeling and Energy Systems Integration. He is the author of two books and a co-author of another in specialized areas of Science and Engineering. He had his undergraduate training in the Physical Sciences at the University of Port Harcourt and graduated at the top of his class and the best graduating student in the faculty with an Honours degree in Chemistry in 1981. He received his engineering education at the University of California, Berkeley, California, where he took his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Nuclear Engineering in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Dr. Osaisai is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and also holds membership of the American Nuclear Society and the Nigerian Institute of Physics, amongst others.
Professor Sidi Osho
Prof Sidi Osho is an award winning Educationist, administrator and Agriculture Expert and currently the Chairperson, Board of Governors of the Food, Agriculture & Natural Resources Policy. ... – an autonomous, non-profit, scientific organization operational in Member States of Africa with a mandate to co-ordinate policy research and dialogue and recommend strategies for promoting food, agriculture and natural resources sectors in Africa. She is also currently the World Vice Chairman of the International Soybean Processing and Utilization in China. She also served as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University from December, 2009 to January, 2014. During her tenure as Vice Chancellor, she initiated and established several infrastructural and educational developments for the University. Prior to her appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Sidi Osho worked extensively with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), in several African countries, developing several food processing technologies and equipment for various crops. An agricultural value chain and nutrition expert, Professor Osho has conducted several collaborative training with other scientist all over the world. She was also on the Faculty of Agricultural Management and Rural Development, of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State. With over 25 years’ experience in the academia, research, food processing and development, Prof. Sidi Osho, has on her profile, several academic publications and membership of over 17 professional bodies and societies; nationally and internationally. She is an advocate for women in higher education, gender issues, policies and women empowerment. She has several publications on food processing, food security, agriculture, higher education and nutrition. Prof Sidi Osho is currently on sabbatical with the National Open University of Nigeria. She is also the President and Founder of SOF (Sidi Osho Foundation). SOF is a non-profit and non-faith based organization established to promote and contribute to human development in Africa through initiates in volunteering, education, leadership, health, youth and food security. The Foundation also aims at providing a world of equal opportunities for families, women, communities and youth through empowerment for the realization and maximization of their potentials towards a better future.
Dr Tim Okon
Dr. Timothy Okon is a foremost authority and highly respected player in the Global Energy Sector who has distinguied himself in both the public and private sectors respectively. ... He is currently the Group Managing Director of IIPEP and was until recently the Special Adviser on Technical Financials to the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum. Dr Tim Okon was also the Director of Transformation & Group General Manager, Corporate Strategy at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and led the commercial group in NNPC to evaluate all major projects in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream segmentsof NNPC’s business and managed NNPC’s transformation program. He also provided extensive technical advice on the oil and gas industry reform program of the government (OGIC) as well as the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). Prior to this role, Dr Okon was General Manager Development Planning for Mobil Producing Nigeria, Lagos. Dr Okon has a BSc (Hons) in Geology/Geophysics from ABU Zaria University, an MSc, a PhD and DIC from Imperial College, London as well as an MBA from Texas A & M University. Dr Okon is a member of SEG (Society of Exploration Geophysicists), IAEE (International Association of Energy Economists), AIPN (Association of International Petroleum Negotiators), and NAPE (Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists).
